Summary:
A more Practical Method of Fuel Extraction
-OVERVIEW-

Intro:
This year we saw gas prices rise to the highest prices ever. And it's not just petrolium based fuels, energy costs in general
are on the rise. Gas prices may be down right now, but there's no way this little mericle will last. There's no way around it,
it's pure and simple, gas is a fossil fuel, it's bound to run out, and as long as we continue to consume the stuff like an
unsupervised 6 year old on halloween with a shoping bag full of candy, I garantee we'll see it run out with in our life times.
The world needs alternative fuels, and not only because fossil fuels are limited, but also because they are destroying this planet
at an excellerated rate. As a civilation constantly expanding our knowledge, it just seems to be the responsible thing to do.

About:
In the spirit of green engineering and my newly found dream of one day living off grid in a self sufficient fashion, I've
begun revisiting some of my old work on electrolysis. Now creating limitless energy from a single glass of water sounds like a
pretty ambitious endeavour, and right now I tend to agree, but that doesnt mean that I don't think it's with in our grasp. For now,
however, I think I'll start a bit smaller and focus on a more specific application, an electrolysis aided engine. Now don't get me
wrong, ultimately I'd like to get away from using fossil fuels at all, but given my current available time and budget, and considering
how much I really want to make a notable effort towards this cause, I'm forced to start more practically. So this research will
investigate new ways of increasing the efficiency of a normal car's engine using electrolysis in attempts to dramatically raise
fuel economy. Now I know what you're thinking, and I've also seen the attempts to disprove this concept, and I'm aware that there
are plenty of plans on the internet describing devices that claim to yield similar results, but I feel like it's all being done wrong!
I am absolutely convinced it can be done, it just hasnt been researched enough yet.

Concept:
The general concept is simple. When your car is running, it's producing ample electricity weather you use it or not because the
engine is cranking the alternator. My electrolysis devices will use this as it's primary power source. Looking at how an engine
works, air and gas are drawn into the cylinders to fuel the explosions generated by the spark plug for each stroke of the piston.
In order for any combustion device to work, that air must contain oxygen, and the more pure the O2, the hotter the explosions thus
the more efficiently the engine will run. Our atmosphere's O2 content is only 20%, the other 80% is just inert gases wasting
volume and absorbing precious energy.
So why not feed a cleaner supply of O2 into the cylinders? Using electrolysis on water not only liberates pure Oxygen, but Hydrogen
as well, which could work with the gasoline to reduce the amount burned per stroke. My ultimate hopes on this project are to use my
electrolysis device to feed Pure O2 into the engine along with additional fuel, H2, to increase gas mileage in a manor as efficiently
as possible.

The Cell:
Each cell is comprised of 2 stainless steel pipes, a pvc pipe with caps, spacers, voltage terminals, and a gas nozzle. The smaller
of the pipes is fit inside the other using the nylon spacers to maintain a gap of 5mm. Using 16awg wire, the 2 steel pipes are
connected to voltage terminals on the inside of the pvc cap. The gas nozzle is screwed into the same cap. The steel pipes are then
lowered into the pvc pipe, the bottom cap is fitted, add water (no additional electrolytes needed, this device works well enough
to use the waters own impurities), fit the top cap, and you have one Electrolysis Cell.

***WARNING!!!
The O2+H2 mix produced by this device is EXTREMELY Flammable! Do Not try this at home!

Additional Pics:

Here is a single cell up and running for testing. On it's own, at 12 volts and 3amps, it's capable of filling a juice bottle with the
O2H2 mixture in about 7min.
