The ZBT House
Home of the Delta Xi Chapter of Zeta Beta Tau at Virginia Tech

- The front of the house on a cool fall day

Welcome to the home of the Delta Xi Chapter of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity. The home of Virginia Tech’s ZBT for the past seven years, it has become central to members of our fraternity as a means to entertain on the weekends, watch movies in our theater, and serve as a meeting place for our brothers.

The house has two living rooms, two kitchens, a dance room, a movie theater, five bathrooms, and nearly a dozen single bedrooms.
As it stands today, our house is considered a duplex. That is, it is comprised of an older house which has been raised and placed on a relatively new foundation and first floor. Such a unique architectural style lends a multitude of uses and plethora of rooms. Anyone who has ever had the privilege of visiting our house can attest this structure is incredibly inviting.

Located about five miles from Virginia Tech at 400 Jenelle Road, we are situated halfway between downtown Blacksburg and nearby Christiansburg. A perfect location, those who live at the house are mere minutes from campus or any of Christiansburg’s restaurants and shops.

A Tour of The House

Downstairs:

The Kitchen
description: The downstairs kitchen is comparable to a "kitchenette" but contains all the amenities of a full sized kitchen to accommodate the downstairs brothers.

East Hall
description: Provides access to four bedrooms, laundry facilities, and two bathrooms.

Living Room
description: A favorite place to lounge around, this room displays a few of our many banners and is filled wall-to-wall with couches.

West Hall
description: Allows for the main entryway from the parking lot and access to two bedrooms and a bathroom.

Middleground:

Foyer
description: Here you will find the stairs connecting the upper and lower residents. It is also the location of our seldom-used front door.

The Upstairs:

Kitchen
description: Slightly larger than the downstairs kitchen, this room sees the most use during guest dinners and holiday banquets.

East Hall
description: This hall leads back to the main bathroom in the house, three bedrooms, and our Chapter/theater room.

Living Room
description: The most popular TV room in the house, you can often find brothers and their friends here watching a movie or playing one of our many gaming systems.

Party Room
description: This room is the heart and soul of our house. Here you will find our bar, dance poles, sound system, game table, and for special occasions—black lights.

Chapter Room
description: The largest common area in the house, this room is utilized as both an official ZBT meeting place and a full movie theater with stadium seats, surround sound, and a fourteen foot screen.

Outdoors:

The Front Yard
description: Rarely used, but readily appreciated by the brothers, we have a fair amount of land to buffer us from Jenelle road and the Route 460 bypass.

Back Deck
description: A great place to kick back, this is one of the best locations to socialize when weather permits. A great many memories of Bar-B-Ques and social events can be traced here.
