For the Memorial Day weekend we decided to go camping at the Land Between the Lakes National forest again, only this time it wasn't 32degrees outside. We didn't book ahead so we were quite fortunate to
get a spot because the place was packed the whole time. We ended up getting firewood along the way again, this time at a small Catholic church just outside Cadiz. The bugs were quite bad and there were
tons of ticks, but we got some bug spray and that made everything else a-ok. This time we camped at Hillman Ferry campground, it's much larger than Energy Lake. There is an outpost general store, there was a
stage where we saw a band play, there is a beach on the lake where we went swimming, an archery range, hiking trails, bike rentals, etc. We even rented a canoe! It's only $5 an hour out at the nature station.
