Lamp Meter

Even less interesting than Owensboro, this time my job was for an entire county, the Meade County Electrical Distribution. The main headquarters, the location of the server where I do most of the work, was located in the tiny town of Brandenburg. The substations, the locations of the meters, were spread across the county, some as far away as an hour! Awful, just awful!

Luckily a large town was with-in driving range this time. So one night after work I headed to Louisville. My first impressions lead me to find it a clean and quite town, about half the size of Nashville. After driving around a bit, taking in all the site, the architecture, etc, I finally found the famous, Louisville Slugger. It really is as big as they say, at least 8 storries!

While in Louisville, I found a pretty good micro brewery, Browning's. They sort of reminded me of LBC with the old warehouse look, the bar and restaurant attached to the actual brewery, and the fermenters out in the open. They had some pretty good food at a good price, and the beer was very different, thats for sure. The pale ale was quite good, had a distinct after taiste. They also had 2 very niche beers that I thought were just too strong. The Tripple Roseberry, which was almost like drinking liquid potpouri, and the Bourbon Barrel Stoudt, which taisted too much like whiskey.
