BinaryBedlam: Wisconsin Rapids, WI

It was my very first time to Wisconsin and the day I get there I'm pummeled by a blizzard. Other than all the snow and sub-freezing weather, though, it’s still a pretty boring place. There just isn’t anything to do. People are pretty laid back too, a little too much maybe, which could make it difficult for things to get done. I was there for emergency re-programming work at Ocean Spray, the cranberry factory, so I, at least, had a lot to get done.
Any way, the places I visited were pretty barren and dull with a little bit of personality trying to creep out but the rustic look of the buildings downtown and the good Reuben sandwiches at the family owned restaurants were really all they had going for them. Strangely enough, however, I did notice there were an eerily large number of very attractive waitresses at a majority of the larger restaurants, which I definitely won’t complain about as it finally provided some much needed scenery, but is sort of ironic because it seems like the vast majority of the local male populous is… well to put it softly, somewhat aesthetically impaired. Very strange. It’s also worth noting that it's far enough north that everyone sounds Canadian.
