This site is an archive of some of the pictures I've drawn over the greater portion of my life. As time goes on I'll keep adding more, both old and new stuff. A lot of the newer pics are drawn during my various college classes in my notebooks, which is why there are lines through so many pics. The older stuff I found lying around my room. They were most likely drawn in school too. Can you tell how much the education system excites me?
Though line paper seems unprofessional, I prefer drawing on it over blank sketch paper. I don't know why, I just like the texture better I guess. Before these scanned pictures made it to this site, however, I digitally removed the notebook lines that go through people. I only did it to the people and not the machines because it's a time-consuming process. I tend to draw with themes in mind. I've always had an infatuation with robotics, so a good deal of my drawings incorporate that. One of my biggest inspirations is the Animatrix. Since I already love machines and the Matrix, the Animatrix just really grabbed my attention. Also, I love the female form. I don't know why, but there's something fun about drawing it. Maybe its because it contrasts the rigid metallic properties of the mechanical drawings so vastly that it provides me with a sense of drawing equilibrium. Weather that's a load of philosophical crap or not, I don't know. Anyways, in some of my drawings, I've incorporated both these themes. |
