Love, War, & Peace
July 11, 2006 08:48:58 AM
Arg, I have all these thoughts in my head and I can't seem to organize them logically. I'll just jot it down as they come to me then, stream of concious style.

Love:
Now, it seems to me that the phrase ''I love you'' is used way more than it should be in everyday relationships. Like to me, it seems like people use it only a few weeks or even days into their courting. How could they possibly know that soon? It's almost as if it has become just this common place cliche thing that you just say to your significant other. Like it doesnt really have meaning any more. It's not like that for me though. I have been in a few short relationships during my life, but I've never once been able to use those three words. I didnt want it to be meaningless or just another thing.
Well, as of last night, the next big step in my relationship has been taken. Completely unexpected, a conversation arose which invariably led from one thing to another, and before we knew it, we found ourselves discussing the use of those very 3 words. To make it even more touching, turns out we were contemplating the very topic for a while. Like I know I've been trying to picture the moment and method I'd partake to use it for the first time. I've even asked people when they started using it, and it turns out Khine was doing the same thing! how freaken cool is that? Anyways, with little deliberation, it was finally stated, I LOVE KHINE! and so was the reverse.
Its like nothing is different, my feelings are still the same, and probabbly nothing will change, but suddenly it feels like some sort of final barrier has been knocked down. Like i was unable to give it my all, but now its full steam ahead! Crazyness. Oh and another thing iv heard, was that the relationships that use 'I love you' right off the bat are often the ones that never last. The ones who wait tend to last longer because your making sure the person is the right one first, so your much more cautious.

War:
Allright so on my way to work this morning, Im actually feeling much more awake than i was yesterday. I think i actually got 8 hours this time. Every damn day its the same thing. Its like a blasted race to the finnish or a war on the grounds of road-rage. Everyone is in such a hurry to get where their going that negligence is the only service each person provides. No one watches out for you, its like pure Darwinism, survival of the fittest, the weak will perish!
I'm about to get onto rt 83 from the mt rose exit. Im going down the ramp about to get on, and the lady in front of me slams on her brakes. Now this was completely legit, we did have a yield sign, and there was infact another car approaching from the other merger point. Just after that merging car passes. The lady infront of me slowly begins moving again, then right as i look over my sholder to make sure that no other cars are coming, she slamed on her brakes again! This time the next car merging was a ways back, and stopping again was, this time, unneccisary! Well just my luck, I hit her! Our bumbers smacked pretty flush.
After the colision, we both pull off to the side, the ramp has a real narrow side strip, so i signal to pull up further. At the wider part, we both get out to observe the dammages. I ask her if shes ok first, then Finally a little luck, not a single scratch on either vehicle. We didnt even bother to exchange information. The whole accident scenario probbably took place at just 5 miles per hour, i guess thats hardly enough to inflict any vehicular damages cosidering how our bumbers touched. And the whole inspection process that took place imediatedly after prob took only 2 min. So before we knew it, we were both back on the road almost as if nothing had happened.

Peace:
Today at Voith marks the final day of my boss. He put in his 2 weeks notice a while back, and with a few days of paid vaccation saved up, John Hamzik will be making his last appearence in our offices today. Apparently he got a better job up north, and will be getting a bigger house for his new baby. So what does this mean for me? Ha, Peace and quiet. From what i hear between the workers in their feeble atempts to keep the roaming gossip to them selves, A lot of Hamziks decisions were not approved of. Now me being his apprentice, I've had a hand in a bunch of these ideas so naturually I probabbly wasnt that well liked either. But with my boss gone now, I will have even less work to do, and nobody will have anything to say any more. Didnt think this was possible, but I'll now have even more peace.

COMMENT: Ha Ha, actually no, he put his 2 weeks in 1 week ago, see its a bit more complex than i mentioned, see technically his last day is this friday, but effectively today was his last day. He aparently had some vacation days saved up, and their still letting him use them on his last week.
